The implications of FATCA, America’s new and controversial global tax law, became more and more apparent in August and deVere Group’s criticisms and findings on this issue were covered by the likes of The Daily Mail,Bloomberg, News Max (U.S), Money News, Business Week, RIA (Russia) and Financial Advisor magazine (U.S), amongst others.
deVere Group’s founder and CEO, Nigel Green, has also been commenting on the high rate of U.S. corporation tax and how this is driving firms to look to overseas, lower tax jurisdictions. His observations have been featured in two separate reports in The New York Post and here, Value Walk, and Yahoo! News, to name a few.
In addition, The Daily Mail, The Independent (page 35), Financial Times Adviser magazine, International Adviser, Global Banking and Finance Magazine, Relocate magazine and Money Management, have run with Mr Green’s comments against a proposed tax raid on expats. In August, Tom Elliott advised investors to ‘keep calm and carry on’ as the day when UK and U.S. interest rates are raised draws ever nearer. Interactive Investor and Money Observer filmed an interview with him on this theme and his comments were also featured by Investor Today, Professional Adviser, Fin24, Insurance Gateway, (South Africa), Biz Community andMindful Money.
Mr Elliott was also last month a guest on Reuters TV, CNBC, and BNN,amongst others, and the full interview he did from the Bangkok office appeared in the Bangkok Post.
